Christine Vernier is co-founder and CFO of Vernier Software & Technology, a 30-year old company that produces STEM educational software and hardware. Vernier S&T has been on the “100 Best Places to Work in Oregon” list for 12 years in a row. Vernier S&T is an active member of HOSP (Hands-On Science Partnership) and Change the Equation. Christine received a B.A. in Sociology from Ohio State University, and was a social worker and law office manager before starting Vernier S&T. Christine was a Stevie Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in 2007. She currently serves on the board of the Oregon Business Education Compact, a board that partners business and education leaders to improve the quality of education in Oregon. She also serves on the board of the Oregon chapter of The Nature Conservancy and has served on many other boards. She has received distinguished service awards from the American Association of Physics, AAPT Ohio section, University of Oregon, and Oregon Science Teachers Association.
