Deborah Kiger Bliss is the Instructional Supervisor for Mathematics in Loudoun County , Virginia . She serves over 60,000 students in one of the fastest growing counties in the country. She moved to Loudoun County from the Virginia Department of Education where she served as K-12 Mathematics Coordinator from 1999 to 2009. Mrs. Bliss developed and administered projects, activities, and services that impacted statewide mathematics achievement and instruction. She has 18 years of classroom teaching in Augusta County, VA, and Roanoke , VA. She is an active member of local and state mathematics councils, NCTM, and served as vice-president of ASSM for eight years.
