Welcome to Fly To Learn, a unique, interactive learning experience that facilitates passion, creativity, and development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The program incorporates a fascinating introduction of core science and engineering skills through the use of the world’s leading flight simulator: X-Plane.
Students learn S.T.E.M. fundamentals through the design, construction, flight, and performance evaluation of virtual airplanes, proving that learning can be exciting and effective. Teachers and administrators will find Fly to Learn fun to teach and easy to implement in the classroom. No aviation experienced is needed nor do you need special equipment so the sky is the limit!
The program will culminate in an Aviation Challenge where students apply acquired knowledge to compete with other students in their classroom including state, regional, and national levels to develop problem solving and team working skills. Students experience strong academic rigor by designing, building, flying, and analyzing the results of their modifications.
Fly To Learn is unusually affordable so even the most under-served schools can participate. Schools are able to teach 20 seats per classroom setting for only $400.00 annually or for larger classroom requirements, 30 seats for $600.00! With our annual enrollment, schools are able to administer Fly To Learn to multiple classrooms daily amounting to mere dollars per student each year. The Fly To Learn curriculum addresses multiple grade levels of K3 through K12 allowing substantial participation. Enrollment includes X-Plane flight simulator, curricula, and membership training library making implementation seamless. Our program will run on most computers with just a mouse. The curriculum also includes a Spanish edition.
