The Hockaday School prepares girls of strong potential from prekindergarten through 12th grade to assume positions of responsibility and leadership in a rapidly changing world by giving them a foundation for living grounded on the traditional Four Cornerstones: Character, Courtesy, Scholarship, and Athletics.
Founded in 1913, The Hockaday School is an independent college preparatory day and boarding school for girls, Prekindergarten through 12th Grade. Located on a 100-acre campus, Hockaday is in the residential area of north Dallas , Texas . Hockaday offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum with Advanced Placement courses, honors courses, interdisciplinary program, and co-curricular classes with St. Mark’s School of Texas , a boys’ school in Dallas . Hockaday has more national merit finalists than any other girls’ school in the nation, and traditionally, 100 percent of graduating seniors are accepted to prestigious colleges and universities.
Hockaday is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and is a member of National Association of Independent Schools, The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools, The National Association of Principals of Schools for Girls, The College Board, The National Association of College Admissions Counselors, The Educational Records Bureau and Secondary School Admission Test Board.
