The mission of the Foundation is to connect business, community groups, and higher education with standards-based reform of science, mathematics, and technology education in Delaware schools and classrooms. The Foundation supports equitable access to high-quality instruction and exemplary curricula aligned with the Delaware standards so that student performance in these disciplines in continuously improved. Three studies were conducted by Delaware Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education (DFSME) as part of the data analysis of the Delaware TIMSS-R results and were used to inform and guide ongoing reform initiatives. The studies focused on three issues of concern:
